Position Overview:
We are seeking a reliable and hands-on Maintenance Worker/Manager to join our team. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys variety in their workdayhandling minor repairs, coordinating larger projects with vendors, and helping us maintain the quality and safety of the properties we manage.
Key Responsibilities:
Suite-Level Work
- Replace or repair fixtures (e.g., taps, faucets, toilets, cabinet doors)
- Minor painting and drywall patching
- Basic electrical and plumbing tasks (as permitted)
- Appliance swaps and minor repairs
- General cleaning and suite turnover work
Project & Vendor Coordination
- Evaluate repair requests and determine if in-house work is possible
- Obtain quotes and coordinate with external vendors for larger or specialized jobs
- Conduct follow-ups to ensure work is completed to a high standard and on time
- Maintain digital records of maintenance work using company software
Additional Responsibilities
- Perform routine inspections of vacant and occupied units
- Respond to urgent or emergency maintenance calls as scheduled
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and housing regulations
What Were Looking For:
- Strong general maintenance skills with at least 35 years of hands-on experience
- Ability to assess repair needs and make sound decisions
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Comfortable working independently and in tenant-occupied environments
- Valid drivers license
- Ability to lift 50 lbs and climb ladders as needed
