Description

We are seeking a dedicated and hardworking Heavy Equipment Operator to join our team.  Working with our experienced team, you will be responsible for helping complete a variety of earthworks and heavy construction tasks efficiently and safely.
The suitable candidate will be able to perform the following duties:
-  Must have experience in general excavating and grade work and in operating some OR all of the following equipment:
-    Wheel Loader
-    Skid Steer
-    Hydrovac
-    Dozer
-    Backhoe
-    Grader
-    Articulated Dump Truck
-    Trenchers    
-    Excavator
-    operate other heavy-duty equipment as required

Responsibilities:    
-    Must be able to operate equipment in a safe and effective manner
-    Perform daily inspections and basic maintenance on equipment and tools
-    Participate in safety culture and follow safety program requirements
-    load and unload materials and equipment
-    Work with team members to ensure efficient project completion
-    Communicate effectively with supervisors and coworkers

The suitable candidate will possess the following qualifications:
-    Must be able to pass a Criminal Records Check
-    Must hold a valid Class 5 license, with preference for class 1A
-    Must have own reliable transportation to get to and from work
-    Must be ambitious, self-directed and motivated
-    Possess a strong work ethic
-    Mature, responsible and honest
