Position Overview

Rockford Engineering Works Ltd. is hiring an Intermediate Mechanical Engineer to support Lead Designers and Project Engineers across all phases of the design process, while independently managing assignments. This role requires strong technical design skills, proactive project coordination, and the ability to contribute to design reviews and quality assurance.

Key Responsibilities: Assist with design plans, scopes, and feasibility reviews; research standards and technical requirements; develop manufacturable designs, 3D models, and detailed drawings; perform engineering analyses and material selections; participate in peer/design reviews and ensure deliverable accuracy; report task progress and communicate risks; support FAT, ITPs, and commissioning; and provide site support to maintain design intent.

Qualifications: Bachelors in Mechanical or Industrial Systems Engineering; P.Eng. with APEGS or EIT pursuing licensure; 6+ years experience in industrial equipment or machine design; strong CAD (Inventor), FEA, and project management knowledge; excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills; valid Class 5 drivers license.
