Description

The Cumberland House Housing Authority is currently recruiting a full-time Senior Administrative Assistant to join their team!  The Senior Administrative Assistant performs a variety of tenant relations and office administration and  is the first point of contact with the tenants.  

The Position:
- Respond to inquiries related to housing programs and services, including incoming calls and walk-in traffic
- Enter applicant and tenant data and maintain general office, tenant, and rental unit file systems
- Ensure accurate and timely submission of financial and operational records, proper security of cash deposits, payment vouchers, and responsibility of accounts receivable and accounts payable
- Review and recommend housing applications for Board approval, conduct income reviews, ensure rents are collected, arrears action plans are developed, and move-ins and move-outs are completed in a timely manner
- Manage tenant-related concerns and coordinate move-in/move out process

Responsibilities and Requirements:
- Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and deal tactfully and courteously with the public

Qualifications:
- Grade 12 or equivalent, familiarity with Microsoft Office, and some experience in accounting, bookkeeping and financial analysis OR an equivalent combination of education and experience  
- A valid drivers license, reliable, roadworthy vehicle, and an approved Enhanced (Vulnerable Sector) criminal record check are conditions of employment
