The Finance Manager will review the Accounting Clerk positions work while having a key role in strategic planning, making tasks more efficient and effective, and identify and assess problems. The Finance Manager will be able to plan, prioritize, organize, and track tasks and issues. Key tasks will be reviewing and coding invoices, creating journal entries, assisting with creating annual financial statements, assisting with annual audit, performing monthly forecasting and budgeting tasks. The Finance Manager will have a strong background in accounting.
Primary Responsibilities
Review and approve monthly bank reconciliations.
Review and assist the Accounting Clerk with monthly PCard reconciliations.
Monitor the Corp Finance email and will review and code invoices daily. The Finance Manager will ensure invoices are correct, have appropriate approvals, and are compliant with all necessary policies. Coding of invoices will be done by the Finance Manager and incompliance with PSAS.
Required Education and Experience
Typically, the knowledge and skills required for this position would be obtained through the successful completion of bachelors degree in accounting, business administration or commerce majoring in accounting, supplemented with a Chartered Professional Accountant designation, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Minimum of 5 years accounting related experience.
