In this role, you will be a trusted partner to both leaders and employees. Youll support and implement HR strategies across a broad range of functions, including employee relations, compensation and benefits, training and development and labour relations. Youll work closely with leaders and employees by providing guidance on policies, supporting performance and conflict resolution processes, addressing workplace concerns, and contributing to the continuous improvement of HR systems and practices. What youll accomplish:
-Implement HR strategies, programs and processes (e.g., recruitment, employee orientation, compensation and benefit programs, labor relations, etc.)
-Support leaders in interpreting policies and resolving employee relations matters
-Handle personnel complaints and concerns and participate in their resolution
-Work with hiring managers to develop and execute staffing plans, initiate recruitment, prepare job descriptions and assess salary ranges
-Administer disability and Workers compensation claims
-Monitor training/development needs, participate in the development of plans/programs, and support implementation
-Support and work with Logistics to provide support with flight management and general administrative tasks
Qualifications and skills:
-Degree in Human Resources (or equivalent combination of education and working experience)
-Minimum 5 years of previous HR generalist experience
-Supervisor experience would be an asset
-Experience working in a unionized environment is an asset
-Intermediate skill level with computer applications including MS Office and HR databases (SAP and ADP)
-Human Resource professional certification is an asset
-Canadian Payroll Certification is considered an asset
