Description

The Supervisor, Grounds and Conversion oversees Labourers and Operators, ensuring quality work and efficient operations across indoor and outdoor facilities on and off site. This role assigns and directs staff, addresses concerns, communicates policy updates, and reports disciplinary issues to management. Duties include training, scheduling substitutes, and supervising equipment use and safe work practices.
Responsibilities include:
Overseeing staff performance, training, and compliance with procedures.
Communicating with management regarding attendance, performance, and operational issues.
Performing and directing grounds maintenance such as snow removal, debris clearing, drain cleaning, landscaping, and general site upkeep.
Supporting events by coordinating and assisting with the move, set-up, and tear-down of equipment, organizing stored materials, and completing accurate work orders and reports for billing and payroll.
Operating and maintaining equipment including forklifts, loaders, skid steers, dump trucks, scissor lifts, sweepers, and other machinery. Conducting routine inspections, securing attachments, and performing preventative maintenance.
Providing excellent customer service, problem-solving onsite issues, and ensuring health and safety standards are followed.
Completing additional tasks as assigned by the Manager, Assistant Manager, or Planner.
This role requires the ability to work at a sustained pace, produce high-quality results, and effectively balance supervisory and hands-on responsibilities.
