You will deliver services to youth and adults, prepare court reports, complete risk assessments, develop case plans, and collaborate with community partners to support offender management and supervision. This position includes travel by vehicle or plane across northern Saskatchewan. Flexible hours, including evenings, and a valid drivers license are required. Relocation reimbursement may be available with a 2-year Return Service Commitment.
We are seeking candidates with knowledge of addictions, domestic violence, poverty, disabilities, mental health, family relationships, abuse, and neglect. Strong written and verbal communication skills, the ability to engage resistant individuals, and the capacity to assess and plan based on client needs are essential.
To qualify, you must have a degree or minimum two-year diploma focused on behavioural change and assessment skills, such as Correctional Studies, Justice Studies, Community and Justice Services, Social Work, or Mental Health, or meet grandfathering provisions under Community Corrections qualifications. International degrees must be assessed against Canadian standards.
You should also demonstrate understanding of contributing factors to criminal behaviour, cognitive behavioural intervention strategies, and systemic barriers affecting individuals and communities.
