The Role
Reporting to the chief engineer, maintenance, your knowledge of mechanical equipment and design will be relied upon to support surface operations in a milling environment.
In this role, you will:
-Solve complex technical problems using formal techniques to evaluate systems, equipment and failures.
-Maximize equipment availability, reliability and performance through effective problem solving and proactive maintenance practices.
-Develop and refine asset specific strategies to improve equipment health and to prevent or eliminate equipment failure.
-Work closely with maintenance personnel in the field to support daily maintenance activities and identify continuous improvement opportunities.
-Provide design and drafting support for new or modified site equipment, process changes, and electrical drawings.
-Be required to compile data and prepare technical reports or coordinates technical reporting as required for regulatory submission.
Required:
-Bachelors Degree in Engineering
-Two to six years of relevant industry experience
-Eligible for registration with the Association of Professional Engineers and Geoscientists of Saskatchewan (APEGS)
-Strong communication and problem-solving skills
-Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy
-Work a rotational schedule and commute to site by aircraft
Recommended:
-Bachelors degree in mechanical or industrial engineering
-Exposure to predictive maintenance techniques and technologies
-Experience in a mining/milling environment
-Experience with computerized maintenance management system, preference for SAP experience
-Experience with planning and scheduling activities
-Project Management Professional (PMP Certification)
