Description

The Learning Operations Coordinator handles planning and logistics for training, professional development programs and special projects with First Nations learners and community-based organizations. Working with research and program staff, the Coordinator books venues/catering; prepares participant materials; tracks event registrations and attendance; submits expense forms to Finance; prepares and distributes certificates of attendance; maintains the Learner Record Database; and takes meeting notes as required.
In addition, the Coordinators cover front desk administration on a scheduled rotation, handling inquiries, deliveries and visitors; dealing with outgoing mail; and booking Institute meeting facilities. The Coordinator presents a positive and professional image of SFNFCI in all interactions, and maintains up-to-date knowledge of Institute programs and policies.
Requirements:  A Diploma in Business Administration, with at least three (3) years of experience demonstrating: strong self-direction, motivation and attention to detail; excellent interpersonal and communication skills; and the ability to manage multiple priorities to meet deadlines.
The successful candidate will have strong working knowledge of general office practices, including paper/electronic filing systems, and Microsoft 365 (especially Word and Excel).
Applicants are expected to possess multicultural beliefs, values and perspectives, and at least a general understanding of historical and current challenges faced by First Nations children, youth and families in Saskatchewan. Awareness of First Nations cultural protocols is strongly preferred.
Conditions of Employment: Criminal Record Check, valid drivers license and 5-year drivers abstract must be provided.
Working Conditions: Occasional travel and non-standard hours (evenings and weekends) may be required. May be exposed to emotionally sensitive or trauma-related material or content.
