Description

Kahkewistahaw First Nation is seeking compassionate and dedicated Human Resources Generalist that plays a vital role in managing and supporting various Human Resources functions such as recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, benefits administration, compliance with labor laws, and performance management. The Human Resources Generalist will act as a bridge between employees and management, contributing to a positive workplace environment and smooth Human Resources operations.
QUALIFICATIONS:
1.    25 years of general Human Resources experience, including recruitment, benefits administration, compliance, and employee relations.
2.    Experience with specific HR software platforms such as HRIS (Human Resources Information Systems) tools. And Microsoft Office Suite.
3.    Knowledge of regional and national employment legislation, which is essential to ensure compliance.
4.    Proven experience in HR functions with knowledge of employment and labor laws.
5.    Strong communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively at all organizational levels.
6.    Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and multitasking abilities.
7.    Ability to handle confidential information with professionalism and discretion.
8.    Bachelors degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field is typically required.
9.    Relevant HR certifications (e.g., CPHR, CIHRE, CIHRP) are a plus but not always mandatory.
10.    Ability to work independently and cooperatively as a team member.
