Description

Job duties:

- Supervise and coordinate daily operations of livestock workers in sow barns and farrowing units.

- Direct farm feed inventory activities and assist with ordering and distribution of feed, medication, and veterinary supplies.

- Formulate and implement feeding programs appropriate for livestock production stages.

- Monitor animal health, conduct pregnancy testing, and ensure barn conditions are maintained.

- Supervise and oversee breeding and other livestock-related programs.

- Provide on-the-job training and guidance to new and existing crew members in biosecurity, animal health monitoring, and barn procedures.

- Ensure farm safety and biosecurity protocols are strictly followed.

- Maintain livestock performance and production records.

- Oversee and participate in the maintenance and cleaning of barns, equipment, and farm facilities.

- Perform and assist with general farm duties as required.

Hours of work: 30 hours/week
