Overview
The Saskatchewan Research Councils Rare Earth Element Division has a career opportunity for an Apprentice Electrician to support the construction and commissioning of SRCs Rare Earth Processing Facility. This position is a 12-month term.
Accountabilities
Assist with the installation of cable trays, electrical switch gears, PLC cabinets, junction boxes and various electrical equipment
Participate in testing, commissioning and troubleshooting of electrical systems and equipment
Assist in cable pulling and strapping, motor terminations and device terminations
Support the calibration and testing of electrical systems and equipment
Learn to read and interpret drawings, schematics and electrical code specifications to determine layout of electrical equipment installations
Qualifications
Must be a third- or fourth-year Apprentice, registered with the Saskatchewan Apprenticeship and Trades Certification Commission (SATCC)
Valid Class 5 drivers licence
Skills
Team player with effective interpersonal and communication skills
Confident using Microsoft Office applications, digital communications and reading digital drawings
Heavy lifting may be required
The chosen candidate will also be required to provide an original Criminal Record Check that is satisfactory to SRC prior to the commencement of any employment duties. The Criminal Record Check must have been executed within the preceding 30 days of receipt.
