Role Description
35 hrs per week. The Financial Controller will be responsible for managing financial statements, financial reporting, and overseeing accounting operations. They will conduct financial analysis, ensure compliance with financial regulations, and provide financial planning and forecasting support. The Financial Controller will also collaborate with other departments to support organizational goals and initiatives.
What Youll Do:
Prepare accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning.
Ensure compliance with Canadian accounting standards for not-for-profits.
Audit preparation and maintain strong internal controls.
Collaborate on grant reporting and fund tracking.
What You Bring:
CPA designation (required) and a diploma or degree in Accounting or Finance.
5+ years of accounting experience, ideally in the nonprofit sector.
Strong knowledge of Canadian not-for-profit accounting standards.
Proficiency in accounting software (QuickBooks) and Microsoft Office.
Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
