Description

Reporting to the Director of Child and Family Well-Being Manager, the Child and Family Well-Being Manager will ensure effective protection support and prevention services are implemented and provided to children and families of One Arrow First Nation. The Manager will deliver a high standard of client services and will provide direction, supervision and establish accountability, planning, implementation of operations and evaluation to ensure services are aligned with the goal and objectives of the Child and Family Well-Being department.  The CFWB Manager will ensure the department maintains a high standard of practice for its facilities and services, keeping in mind the cultural values and customs of the community.
KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
*Assist with monitoring and evaluating the delivery of the CFWB program and its staff, establishing performance goals; evaluating employee performance to provide timely feedback if required; creating and following up with employees work and developmental plans, ensuring succession plans for self and employees to deliver program services, strategies and objectives; *The Manager will provide leadership training, support and direction to Child and Family Well-Being staff, providing coaching; communicating performance and client expectations and standards and ensuring applicable policies, procedures and best practices are adhered to;*Participate in the development and monitoring of service plans with child and family services providers (e.g. Child, youth and/or family care plans; safety planning; permanency planning; after care plans and youth in transition/post majority care plans)*Work effectively and positively with colleagues to support initiatives and directions that continuously improve or enhance service delivery to families;*Provide immediate family support to families at risk of child protection involvement;*The Manager is a key member of team and may be asked to carry out additional duties/activities.
