Description

Reporting to the Director of Child and Family Well-Being, the Child and Family Well-Being Manager is a highly motivated individual with exceptional advocacy skills and knowledge of the Saskatchewan Child and Family Services Act.  The Child and Family Well-Being Manager will be responsible for managing preventative activities and support services that will enhance the Well-Being of the family unit.
KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Supervise, train, support, coach and monitor the quality of care/practice provided by Child and Family Well-Being staff who deliver a variety of services to families.
- Provide leadership on the creation and implementation of policies, procedures, services and community resources.
- Participating in the development and monitoring of service plans with child and family services providers. eg. Child,Youth, and/or family care plans; safety planning, permanency planning; after care plans, and youth in transition/post majority care plans.
- Work effectively and positively with colleagues to support initiatives, directions that continuously improve or enhance service delivery to families.
- Work with Director to coordinate a review of current Child and Family Well-Being services.
- Plan and help to facilitate community engagement sessions, Child and Family Well-Being team meetings and other meetings as appropriate.
- Oversee the representation of One Arrow First Nation's interests in child protection proceedings, hearings and child welfare agency matters.
- Work closely with the One Arrow First Nation Bill C92 team.
- Have knowledge of and willingness to actively support traditional healing practices.
- Ability to work collaboratively with mental health workers and as part of multidisciplinary team.
- Perform other duties as required.
