As a member of the management team, the Manager of Communications understands internal and external communication needs of APEGS and is responsible for creating effective and meaningful dialogue, information, and transparent communication results.Reporting to the Director, the position leads a team to develop, implement, and enhance communication programs focused on employee and public audiences. The position achieves results through others and works with departments of APEGS to adopt effective communication practices. Through leadership in key message development, social media strategies, face to face engagement strategies, and other relevant communication channels, the position aims to achieve stakeholder education, awareness, and understanding.

You possess an undergrad degree in business administration, journalism, or a related discipline
You are an experienced manager of people (min 5 years), programs, and processes in areas such as communications or public relations, stakeholder engagement, functional and cross-functional team management and/or project and change management
Your track record demonstrates that successful business outcomes are achieved through effective internal communication and effective communication with those who are affected by business decisions
You are an experienced delegator and thrive on building your teams collective strengths through delegation, coaching, clear accountability, and support
