Job Opportunity: Office Administrator Town of Rockglen

The Town of Rockglen is accepting applications for a full-time Office Administrator. Reporting to Council, the Administrator is responsible for managing municipal operations in line with provincial legislation, bylaws, and policies, while serving as the liaison between Council, staff, and the public.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare annual budgets and support strategic/operational planning.
Manage payroll, accounts payable/receivable, receipting, and bank deposits.
Administer taxation and report on municipal programs.
Liaise with government agencies and manage elections.
Organize/facilitate Council meetings and ensure legislative compliance.
Provide excellent public service via phone, email, and in person.
Oversee correspondence and maintain municipal records.
Qualifications:
Urban Standard Certificate (Urban Board of Examiners minimum).
Strong knowledge of municipal legislation and procedures.
Experience with MuniSoft is an asset.
Proficient in Microsoft Office and Excel.
Strong communication, leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
High accuracy, confidentiality, and ability to prioritize work.
Self-motivated and able to meet deadlines independently or in a team.
Hours: Monday to Friday, 9:00 am 5:00 pm
Compensation: UMAAS-guided salary, benefits, and pension plan.
