Grant Hall Dining Room & Lounge is located in the historic Grant Hall Hotel in downtown Moose Jaw. We offer refined steakhouse dining, a comfortable lounge and exceptional service within a beautifully restored setting.
Position Summary:
The Assistant Restaurant Manager plays an integral role in supporting the Restaurant Manager in overseeing daily operations, ensuring guest satisfaction, and maintaining team efficiency. This position requires strong leadership, attention to detail and the ability to uphold service and operational standards while fostering a positive work environment.
Key Responsibilities:
*Assist in the day to day management of restaurant and event operations to ensure smooth and efficient service.
*Supervise, train, and support front-of-house staff, promoting teamwork and professional conduct.
*Monitor and maintain quality and consistency in guest service.
*Support inventory control, ordering, and cost management in coordination with the Restaurant Manager.
*Address guest concerns and feedback in a professional and timely manner.
*Ensure compliance with health, safety and liquor regulations.
*Assist in scheduling, labour and performance management.
*Contribute and assist Catering & Events Manager with events.
*Uphold the company's brand standards and values at all times.
Qualifications:
*Minimum of 2 years of supervisory or management experience in a full-service restaurant or hospitality environment.
*Strong leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills.
*Proven ability to motivate and manage a team in a fast-paced setting.
*Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
*Professional appearance and demeanor.
*Flexible availability including evenings, weekends, and all holidays.
*Requires Serve It Right certification.
*Wine knowledge, and/or mixology an asset.
