These positions are to start April 1st 2026 and continue through to season end in October 2026.
We are a commercial Beekeeping operation located 1 mile South of Good Spirit Lake, SK. NE 4-29-5 W2nd. Employees must have their own transportation to the job site.
Relevant Skills/Experience - beneficial, but not required: Equipment basic operation and maintenance, handyman and hand tool skills. First aid/CPR. Driver's License is an asset. All required training will be provided.
Working Conditions:
- Long hours may be required during the harvest period of July and August. You may be asked to work evenings, weekends, and/or holidays.
- Some tasks are performed outside regardless of weather conditions.
- Work may be repetitive and physically demanding, requiring self-motivation.
- Safety precautions must be followed and protective clothing worn to avoid injury.
- Appropriate hygiene practices must be followed to prevent or control the spread of diseases from hive to hive or the contamination of hive products.
- Heavy lifting is required
- Strong work ethic is a must!
Duties:
- Supering hives
- Harvesting honey
- Cleaning honey extraction and storage equipment
- Honey extraction
- Barrel moving, preparation, filling, and storage
- Manufacture, assemble, maintain hive equipment
- Bee yard maintenance
