Were looking for a reliable and detail-oriented Accounts Receivable / Accounts Payable Clerk to support our accounting and administrative functions. This position plays a key role in ensuring the smooth operation of our accounting processes and supports various administrative functions across the business.
Key responsibilities:
Accounts Receivable (AR):
Post and apply incoming customer payments
Prepare and send out AR statements
Conduct AR collections and follow up on overdue accounts
Prepare and post daily bank deposits
Accounts Payable (AP):
Review daily emails for supplier invoices
Print and distribute invoices for internal approval
Reconcile vendor statements and resolve any discrepancies
Follow up on missing invoices and documentation
Prepare cheques as required
Dealership Admin & Support:
Review daily reconciliation report and address discrepancies with the Controller
Assist with incoming phone calls and general inquiries
Sort and distribute incoming mail
Maintain and update the dealerships accounting binder
File documents accurately and maintain organized records
Process Wash Bay work orders, free oil changes & tech hours
Manage and file rental van slips
Requirements:
Previous experience in a dealership or automotive environment is an asset
Solid background in AR/AP or general accounting support
High attention to detail and excellent organizational skills
Ability to prioritize tasks
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Work Schedule
Monday to Friday, regular business hours, must be available to work one Saturday in approximately 8 weeks.
