Key Responsibilities
Prepare corporate year-end financial statements and related tax returns
Prepare personal tax returns for business owners and individuals
Conduct CSRS 4200 and CSRE 2400 engagements
Identify and recommend tax planning strategies and opportunities
Ensure accuracy and timely completion of all tax filings
Stay current with changes in accounting standards and tax legislation
Collaborate effectively with colleagues, clients, and client bookkeepers
Build and maintain strong client relationships while upholding professional independence
Qualifications and Skills
Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) designation required in fact, if you do not presently hold a CPA designation, please do not apply
Strong knowledge of the Income Tax Act and Canadian accounting standards
Proficiency with CaseWare, TaxPrep, and other accounting software
Exceptional attention to detail and analytical skills
Excellent communication skillsable to convey complex information clearly and confidently
Strong organizational and time management abilities; comfortable managing multiple clients and deadlines
Professional, respectful, and team-oriented approach
Completion of the CPA In-Depth Tax Course is an asset although not mandatory
Demonstrated commitment to continuous learning and professional growth
