Description

The Saskatchewan Food Industry Development Centre (Food Centre) is an industry leader in contract research, manufacturing and incubation to help companies bring food, beverage and ingredient innovations to market.
We have an opening for a Shipper/Receiver. This position  is responsible for the accurate and timely shipping, receiving, and storage of goods at the Food Centre, ensuring compliance with HACCP and CFIA regulations. This role supports both internal operations and client needs in a federally regulated food processing environment.

Key Responsibilities:
- Shipping & Receiving
Prepare shipping documents (e.g. bills of lading, packing slips, work orders)
Load/unload trucks; inspect and verify condition and documentation of goods
Ensure proper storage and labeling of incoming materials
Assemble, package, and label outgoing shipments
Maintain accurate inventory records and trace lost or delayed shipments
Complete documentation for damaged or returned items and coordinate follow-up
Schedule and coordinate deliveries with clients and carriers
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe shipping/receiving area
- Compliance & HACCP
Ensure all activities comply with HACCP, CFIA, and internal food safety protocols
Participate in the development and maintenance of HACCP documentation
Accurately record data required for regulatory and client reporting
- Client Support
Assist clients with shipping/receiving procedures and proper handling of goods
Provide guidance on packaging, labeling, and documentation requirements

Qualifications:
25 years of warehouse and forklift experience, preferably in the food industry
Knowledge of HACCP, CFIA, or food safety systems an asset
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and operate material handling equipment safely
