Description

The Humboldt Housing Authority is seeking a Part-time, Tenant Relations Officer to join their team for a one-year term.   This is a new position for Humboldt Housing Authority, to work 24 hours per week, with the goal of further enhancing successful tenancies and providing back up for office administration.  

If you have excellent problem solving and organizational skills, can multitask, thrive in a team environment, and have a desire to provide exceptional service to our tenants, this position will be of interest to you!

The Position:
In this position, you will:
Prepare and explain leasing agreements and expectations of tenancy
Process housing applications, conduct income reviews, calculate rental fees, and collect rent
Coordinate move-in and move-out processes
Manage tenant and public inquiries, problems, complaints, and concerns
Liaise with external support agencies to develop strategies to support tenant wellbeing

Requirements:
Ability to manage stressful situations, problem solve, and manage conflict
Exceptional client relations skills and the ability to deal tactfully and courteously with the public
Ability to maintain confidentiality

Qualifications:
Some post-secondary with a strong desire to support the tenant population
Proven Microsoft Office skills and an aptitude for software programs
Experience with property management and/or familiarity with the Office of Residential Tenancies is an asset
A valid drivers license, reliable, roadworthy vehicle are required
An Enhanced Police Information Check will be requested upon hire
