What you will be doing:
As a member of the Maintenance Team, this position will be accountable for the maintenance of all plant equipment, facilities, and powered mobile equipment, including inspections and documentation. This role will act as a subject matter expert to ensure the sites operating equipment is thoroughly inspected and well maintained to eliminate downtime. The Maintenance Lead will work with management, team members, and other key stakeholders to develop reliability excellence techniques and practices.
Qualifications:
2-3 years experience as a Maintenance Mechanic and/or Millwright/Electrician in a production or manufacturing environment
Pervious leadership or lead experience an asset
Other related or combinations of education and experience will be considered
Trade Journeyman certificate or an engineering degree or certificate an asset
Good analytical, mechanical and problem-solving skills
Valid class 5 drivers license
Ability to work occasional overtime and weekends
Able to climb stairs and ladders on a daily basis
Able to work at heights of 100 feet or more
Unwavering safety mindset and commitment to managing risk
Electrical maintenance and/or Welding experience considered an asset
Motivated and able to work with minimal supervision
Knowledge of conveyer belts, drags, conveyers, large gear boxes, large electric motors and bucket elevators
Agricultural industry experience considered an asset
Pleasant demeanor with an ability to handle multiple time-sensitive tasks while working within a team environment
Ability to engage and interact with third-party contractors and suppliers
Strong work ethic
