Description

We are seeking a experienced Heavy Equipment Operator to support water and sewer infrastructure projects. The successful candidate will operate construction equipment safely and efficiently to assist with installation, repair, and maintenance of water and sewer systems. Attention to safety, precision, and teamwork are essential for this role.

**Key Responsibilities:**
- Operate an excavators for trenching, pipe installation, excavation, and backfill.
- Perform pre-operation inspections and routine maintenance on machinery.
- Assist in the installation, repair, and maintenance of water and sewer lines.
- Follow all safety protocols and ensure compliance with industry standards.
- Read and interpret blueprints, utility maps, and site plans specific to water and sewer projects.
- Manage delicate excavation work to prevent damage to existing underground utilities.
- Coordinate with project supervisors, utility providers, and team members.
- Document work performed and report any safety concerns or equipment issues.

**Qualifications:**
- Valid heavy equipment operators license or certification.
- Proven experience operating heavy machinery in water, sewer, or utility infrastructure projects.
- Knowledge of underground utility work, trench safety, and confined space procedures.
- Strong commitment to safety standards and procedures.
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
- Good physical condition, stamina, and attention to detail.
- Ability to read blueprints, utility maps, and technical drawings.

**Physical Requirements:**
- Ability to lift heavy objects and perform physically demanding tasks.
- Comfortable working in confined spaces, trenches, and at varying heights.
