Description
The Consultant will work under the direction of the Executive Director to provide programming to children 0-6 years old who have a diagnosed delay, who are experiencing developmental delay or who are at risk for delay, in their homes, in centers, outdoors and/or virtually in Moose Jaw and surrounding area.

Qualifications:        
                
- Preference will be given to applicants with a minimum two (2) years post secondary in the Human Services field such as early childhood development, education, nursing, social work, or other related programs)    
- Have experience working with children with special needs and their families
- Have a valid Saskatchewan drivers license and the use of a reliable vehicle
- Self motivated, excellent communication/organizational skills, flexible, problem solver, team player
- Be legally entitled to work in Canada              
- Must have a minimum level of CLB 8 for English Language in all four (4) language categories
-Criminal record check with vulnerable sector must be completed prior to hire

Position Responsibilities:
    
1. Plan, implement and model programming to children 0-6 years old with their caregivers in their homes, centers, outdoors and/or virtually
2. Provide information and resources to caregivers in order to support children to increase their independence, engagement and social relationships in everyday routines
3. Provide support to families to meet their identified goals for their child and family, increase their knowledge regarding their child's strengths and needs, and empower families to have the confidence to advocate for their children
4. Connect the family and child to necessary services or supports in their community
5. Conduct child development screenings and assessments
6. Communicate regularly with the Supervisor to discuss progress of each child
