Description

POSITION SUMMARY: Join a collaborative engineering team dedicated to innovation in agricultural equipment design. As a Drafting Technologist, youll bring concepts to lifecreating accurate 3D models, detailed drawings, and precise documentation that meet SeedMasters quality standards. Youll work closely with engineers and project managers to develop new products, improve existing designs, and ensure manufacturability and efficiency in every project.

If you have a keen eye for detail, strong mechanical aptitude, and enjoy turning ideas into practical solutions, this is the role for you.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:

Prepare detailed CAD models, engineering drawings, and specifications.
Provide technical support for mechanical design, fabrication, and documentation.
Revise and update existing drawings, schematics, and specifications.
Ensure all designs and documentation meet SeedMaster drafting standards.
Contribute to safe, efficient, and cost-effective product designs.
Collaborate with engineers and other team members to support project goals.

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:

Diploma in engineering technology or equivalent.
Proficiency with SolidWorks (preferred).
Strong mechanical background with high attention to detail and organization.
Experience in steel fabrication, manufacturing processes, and machine design (preferred).
Strong analytical and problem-solving skill.
Familiarity with mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems (preferred).
Experience with ERP systems and lean manufacturing principles (an asset).
Flexible, adaptable, and able to manage multiple projects to completion.
Strong work ethic and commitment to teamwork.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

Fast-paced agricultural machinery manufacturing facility.
Hands-on collaboration with engineers, fabricators, and other technical staff.
