Description

A2SKI Industrial is seeking an organized and detail-oriented person to join our team. The Junior Estimator is responsible for assisting in the preparation of estimates and involved in some aspects of the bidding process on projects. This position will be involved in all aspects of the tender process while maintaining databases and other administrative tasks as required.

Responsibilities:
    Solicit supply pricing through an understanding of products available in the market to prepare accurate, timely cost estimates.
    Gather and organize quote documents laying out all pricing and relevant information.
    Track project specifications, blueprints, and associated documents.
    Review addendums to see if scope of work has changed and determine its effects on project pricing.
    Review tenders to ensure scope of work, track closing dates and status of award post tender.
    Participate in tender meetings and coordinate deliveries.
    Effectively communicate with clients and vendors to ensure accuracy of estimates.
    Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
    Technical school education or equivalent; at least 2 years of construction experience.
    Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint) and other relevant CRM platforms.
    Experience with design software applications is an asset.
    Ability to read and interpret information from construction drawings.
    Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively.
    Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with a professional and courteous demeanor.
    SCOT and WHIMIS
    Knowledge of safety protocols and procedures in a construction setting is an asset.
