The IT Services Branch is seeking a highly motivated, innovative, and customer focused service professional for the position of Automation Testing Engineer. The Automation Testing Engineer will work as part of a team responsible for testing a variety of internal and third-party applications essential to supporting the Ministry of Social Service. This role will participate in the requirements analysis process to ensure validation, verification, creation and execution of comprehensive automated application testing based on system requirements and user journeys. Responsible for maintaining a repository of automation test artifacts to enable demonstration of system and component compliance and create clear and meaningful defect/incident reports while assisting the team in defect resolution. Working closely with Ministry stakeholders, vendors, business analysts, and project teams, the position will focus on implementing quality assurance processes in supporting the operational readiness and functionality of our Ministry software solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Define and establish Ministry software solution automation testing framework and processes.
- Develop effective strategies and scenarios that are suitable for test automation to ensure objectives are met in accordance with operational procedure sand program policy and legislation.
- Define and fabricate data scenarios within automated testing suites.
- Define, develop and maintain automated test suites.
- Define and development of performance and load testing scenarios.
