The Canadian Mental Health Association, Prince Albert Division invites qualified applicants for the full-time position of Peer Support Worker. The Peer Support Worker plays a vital role in supporting clients through daily programming, mentorship, and community engagement. This position is responsible for supervising clients, facilitating structured daily programs, maintaining a clean and safe environment, and occasionally assisting with meal preparation and transportation. The Peer Support Worker promotes recovery, independence, and positive relationships by modeling healthy behaviors and providing compassionate peer-based support, ensure client safety and promote a positive, inclusive atmosphere during all activities and programs, ensure that all programs are engaging, inclusive, and aligned with organizational goals.
To qualify you will have personal experience in recovery or peer support (lived experience is an asset), valid drivers license and access to a reliable vehicle, current Food Safe certification (or willingness to obtain), basic computer and data entry skills (Microsoft Word, Excel, or similar), strong interpersonal and communication skills, ability to work independently and as part of a team, reliable, organized, and able to manage multiple tasks effectively.The successful candidate will be required to provide a positive Criminal Record Check.
