The CTGT Specialized Intensive Home Visitor provides direct, trauma-informed, and culturally grounded support to families and young children participating in the Caring Nest Head Start program. Working under the direction of the Caring Nest Team Lead, this role delivers individualized in-home and community-based services designed to strengthen family relationships, promote child development, and build parental capacity. The Home Visitor works collaboratively with caregivers, professionals, and community partners to ensure services are delivered safely, respectfully, and in alignment with family goals and Ministry case plans. The role requires excellent communication, organization, and facilitation skills, along with a deep understanding of Indigenous worldviews and early childhood development. Through culturally safe engagement, advocacy, and hands-on support, the Home Visitor helps families build resilience and achieve long-term stability.

Strong facilitation and coaching skills with families, emphasizing positive parenting and communication.
Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication abilities.
Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple families or caseloads.
Ability to maintain professional boundaries and confidentiality.
Knowledge of child development, family dynamics, and community resources.
Computer proficiency (Microsoft 365, data entry systems, and reporting tools).
Reliability, adaptability, and commitment to continuous learning.
Valid CPR/First Aid Certification.
Current Criminal Record Check (with vulnerable sector).
Valid Drivers License with Drivers abstract
