Outback Oasis is a construction firm that employs lean management and maintains minimal administrative overhead. The Purchasing and Inventory Coordinator must be able to purchase materials for job sites in rural Saskatchewan. The candidate should have up to one year of relevant experience in industrial, commercial, or institutional construction, including purchasing and inventory management.
The incumbent should be familiar with purchasing, maintaining inventory, and storing construction material. Knowledge of buying construction materials and their substitutes in the Canadian market will be preferred. May have to travel to different sites across Saskatchewan, so should hold a local driving license. Experience in purchasing construction material in Saskatchewan is desired.
The job requires English reading and communication.
* Review requisition orders from the sites and ensure no unused Inventory is available at any other
work site.
* Consolidate the requirements from all sites and request quotations or refer to catalogues.
* Prepare purchase orders and arrange for purchase and material delivery.
* Handle issues with vendors for supply and shortages.
* Prepare documents and data for all purchases.
* Update inventory in the system and prepare reports for the Supply chain supervisor.
* Knowledge of construction material stocking is preferred
* Attend all safety trainings
* Perform other assigned work and duties.
