Information Technology (I.T.) Assistant Manager
Location: Prince Albert, Saskatchewan | Employment Type: Permanent Full-Time | Supervisor: Chief Financial Officer

The Athabasca Denesuline Education Authority (ADEA) is seeking a skilled Information Technology Assistant Manager to support dependable and secure IT services across its schools. This role suits a collaborative professional who values innovation and the advancement of Denesuline First Nations education through technology.

The Assistant Manager will help manage daily IT operations, including network administration, cybersecurity, and infrastructure maintenance. They will assist with technology projects, guide IT staff, and ensure the reliability and security of systems and data. The position also involves providing technical support and training, maintaining documentation, coordinating with vendors, and supporting networks in remote northern communities.

Candidates should hold a bachelors degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field, with at least three years of IT experience and one year in a supervisory role. Experience in education or First Nations organizations is an asset, and certifications such as CompTIA, Microsoft, Cisco, or ITIL are considered an advantage.

The ideal candidate will have strong technical knowledge, excellent leadership and communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities. Familiarity with cybersecurity, cloud-based systems, and remote support tools, along with cultural awareness and respect for Denesuline First Nations communities, is essential.
