Description

The successful applicant may be based in Regina, Saskatoon, or Prince Albert.

The Director of Construction leads all construction activities across the province from land acquisition and planning to build completion and warranty management. This role ensures every Habitat home is built safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards.

The ideal candidate is a strategic, hands-on leader with experience managing contractors, volunteers, and multiple projects. They will work closely with internal departments like Homeowner Services, Partnerships, and ReStore Operations to align timelines, budgets, and reporting.

Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee all phases of residential construction, ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards.
- Manage project budgets, schedules, and contractor relationships to meet targets and deadlines.
- Coordinate logistics for materials, in-kind donations, and volunteers to maximize efficiency.
- Foster strong partnerships with suppliers, donors, and sponsors to support builds.
- Represent Habitat in the community, communicating professionally with homeowners and stakeholders.
- Ensure compliance with OH&S regulations, manage site risks, and maintain accurate documentation.
- Provide regular reports, analyze outcomes, and recommend process improvements.

Qualifications:
- 510 years experience in construction or project management (residential or non-profit housing preferred).
- Post-secondary education in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field.
- Strong leadership, budgeting, and scheduling skills; proficiency in Microsoft Office and project management software.
- Valid Class 5 drivers license and ability to travel within Saskatchewan.
- Clear Criminal Record Check required.
