Position Summary
The Casual Child Care Worker is responsible for providing a safe, nurturing, and inclusive environment for children at Sweetgrass Daycare. The worker will support the holistic development of each childspiritually, emotionally, mentally, and physicallythrough culturally grounded and play-based learning activities. This position provides coverage for regular staff absences and assists with daily programming as needed.

Qualifications

Minimum Early Childhood Education (ECE) Level I certification or equivalent (willingness to obtain Level I considered).

Current First Aid and CPR Level C certification.

Criminal Record Check and Vulnerable Sector Check required prior to employment.

Experience working with children in a daycare, school, or community setting.

Knowledge of Cree culture, language, and traditions is a strong asset.

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Flexible and reliable for casual/on-call work.
