Description

The Athabasca Denesuline Education Authority (ADEA) is seeking a motivated and dedicated Practical and Applied Arts Teacher to join Father Gamache Memorial School in Fond Du Lac, Saskatchewan. This full-time position offers an exciting opportunity to teach in a project-based, culturally rich environment that values Denesuline language and traditions.

The successful candidate will foster a positive, inclusive classroom atmosphere that supports the physical, social, emotional, and intellectual development of students. Responsibilities include developing and implementing engaging lesson plans, assessing and tracking student progress, providing feedback to students and parents, and participating in professional development and school activities.

The ideal candidate is patient, flexible, and passionate about student success. Strong communication skillsverbal, nonverbal, and empatheticare essential, along with a solid understanding of Saskatchewan curriculum and effective teaching practices. A commitment to collaboration with colleagues, families, and community members is vital to support an equitable and inclusive learning environment.

Qualifications: A Bachelors Degree in Education and eligibility for a valid Saskatchewan Teaching Certificate are required. A Practical and Applied Arts diploma, experience teaching in First Nations or remote communities, and First Aid certification are considered assets.
