The Planner I supports municipal planning by applying technical knowledge and effective communication in managing land use, development, and policy assignments. Reporting to both Development Services and Long Range Planning Managers, this role processes applications, drafts reports and agreements, conducts site inspections, and acts as a liaison among the public, staff, and Council. The Planner I prepares meeting materials, assists with policy and zoning research, and fosters community engagement through presentations and public forums. Candidates need a bachelors degree in planning, technical and organizational proficiency, and strong customer service orientation.
