Job Summary:
Battlefords Interval House (BIH) provides safe shelter, support, and advocacy for individuals affected by interpersonal violence in North Battleford and the surrounding area. Governed by a volunteer Board of Directors, BIH offers trauma-informed, inclusive services that promote healing, empowerment, and community well-being.
Reporting to the Board of Directors, the Executive Director provides strategic and operational leadership across all programs, staff, and resources. This role ensures effective operations, sound financial management, and compliance with legislative, funding, and policy requirements. The position also provides vision and direction in program delivery, staff development, and community collaboration.
Responsibilities:
Lead development and implementation of strategic and operational plans with the Board.
Oversee shelter programs and services aligned with BIHs mission, values, and trauma-informed model.
Manage budgeting, reporting, and compliance with funder and government requirements.
Supervise and mentor staff, promoting a respectful, inclusive, and supportive workplace.
Ensure adherence to policies, contracts, and provincial legislation.
Strengthen partnerships with funders, Indigenous organizations, and community agencies.
Serve as BIHs spokesperson to the public, media, and partner networks.
Provide regular updates and reports to the Board on operations and emerging issues.
