Description

Battle River Treaty 6 Health Centre Inc. (BRT6HC) is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Human Resources Recruitment Specialist to join our team. Reporting directly to the Director of Finance and Operations, the successful candidate will be responsible for administering the organizations recruitment and selection strategy while ensuring that HR policies, practices, and programs align with organizational goals and comply with applicable labour legislation.

Responsibilities and Duties
Administer the full-cycle recruitment and selection process, including prescreening candidates, administering pre-employment assessments, contacting references, verifying employment, arranging logistics, and participating in interviews.
Coordinate and deliver all new employee onboarding and welcome events.
Administer and document HR programs such as Return to Service Agreements.
Conduct quarterly training sessions for the organization.
Collaborate closely with the HR Administrative Assistant to ensure all payroll-related information is accurate and complete.

Qualifications
Degree or diploma in Business Administration, Commerce, or a related discipline with a major in Human Resources, or an equivalent combination of education and directly related experience.
Minimum of three (3) to five (5) years of relevant HR experience.
CPHR designation or working toward designation is considered an asset.
Demonstrated experience in developing and implementing HR policies and programs, including onboarding, recruitment, and benefits administration.
Thorough knowledge of labour legislation and employment standards.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
Knowledge and understanding of traditional First Nation values, beliefs, and healing approaches, and a willingness to learn about and respect First Nations cultures.
Demonstrates BRT6HC values in all interactions with First Nations communities, clients, and co-workers.
