SUMMARY OF POSITION:
The Nutritionist is responsible for combining professional nutrition knowledge with culinary skills to create healthy, balanced, and appealing meals. This role involves planning, preparing menus that meet dietary requirements, promoting wellness through nutritious food choices, and ensuring compliance with the Canada Food Safety Standards. The Nutritionist plays a key role in supporting health and well-being of employees and guests/visitors by delivering meals that are both nourishing and enjoyable. The nutritionist will be under the direct supervision of the Human Resource Manager.
QUALIFICATIONS:
1. Diploma or Degree in Nutrition, Dietetics, Culinary Arts, or related field.
2. Safe Food Handling Level I Certification and knowledge of the Canada Food Guide and Nutrition.
3. Proven cooking experience, preferably in health focused.
4. Possess strong knowledge of nutrition, dietary guidelines and food safety standards.
5. Excellent organizational skills and time-management skills.
6. Strong communication with interpersonal abilities.
