Associate Lawyer (5+ Years Experience)

ABOUT US:

DUTIES:

- Conduct legal research using reputable databases
- Analyze and interpret laws, regulations, and precedents to build persuasive arguments
- Draft legal documents, including contracts, agreements, pleadings, and correspondence
- Represent clients in court proceedings and administrative hearings
- Negotiate settlements on behalf of clients to achieve practical outcomes
- Present evidence and arguments in court with poise and clarity
- Advise clients on legal rights and obligations, and manage expectations
- Develop case strategies and plans, from intake to resolution
- Collaborate with colleagues to ensure thorough, well-reasoned advice and documentation

SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS:

- Minimum 5 years of legal experience
- Strong legal research abilities with a keen attention to detail
- Excellent negotiation skills and the ability to reach favorable settlements
- Proficient in drafting precise and comprehensive legal documents
- Exceptional written and verbal communication, with the ability to explain complex concepts clearly to clients
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities
- Practice experience in one or more of the following areas: family law, real estate, wills and estates (including estate litigation) and civil litigation.
- Mediation, family dispute resolution, and parenting coordination experience are assets
- Ability to manage multiple matters, meet deadlines, and work effectively in a collaborative team environment

SALARY:

$120,000  $150,000 per year (depending on level of experience), plus attainable bonus structure.
