The Role
Working with the reliability and mechanical integrity engineering team, you will be responsible for providing technical support to the Saskatchewan mining operations by developing robust asset management strategies, assisting with investigations, and analyzing data trends to improve equipment and process reliability.
In this role, you will:
-Assist with researching, creating, and implementing detailed preventive maintenance plans focused on reliability and mechanical integrity.
-Assist in analyzing equipment failures and determining strategies for preventing future failures
-Review inspection reports and recommendations to help determine corrective actions related to fixed and rotating equipment.
-Create reports and presentations to present failure modes, proposed corrective actions, celebrate successes and detail improvements.
-Although this position is based in Saskatoon, you may be required to make occasional trips to Camecos operations in northern Saskatchewan.
-Learn new skills related to equipment reliability and integrity across multiple operations using advanced analytical tools and software.
Required:
-You are entering your third or fourth year as a university student specializing in industrial/mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, chemical engineering
-You must be returning to school for the academic semester following your work term with Cameco
-Excellent communication, data analysis and compilation, and organization skills
-Excellent written and spoken communication skills
-Proficient using Microsoft Excel
-Occasional travel to our operations including northern Saskatchewan
Recommended:
-Proficient with Microsoft Office suite
-SAP or Maximo experience
