The Role
The successful student will be working with the Safety, Health, Environment & Quality Systems group at the corporate office in Saskatoon, SK.
In this role, you will:
-Conduct research on various environmental topics such as environmental regulations, aquatic toxicity, wildlife assessments, and surface water quality.
-Collect high-quality data, interpreting laboratory analytical results, and preparing technical memos and reports.
-Create data tables from the system to assist with regulatory reporting.
Required:
-You will be entering your third or fourth year as a university student specializing in environmental sciences, computer sciences, natural sciences, or a related field.
-You must be returning to school for the academic semester following your work term with Cameco.
Recommended:
-Field experience is an asset. The ability to meet tight deadlines, working independently with minimal supervision as well as within a team environment is essential.
-Excellent communication and organization skills are required.
-The successful candidate must hold a valid drivers license. Completion of an all-terrain vehicle (ATV) and/or snowmobile safety course in an asset.
