The Role
Working with the technical services, development group at the corporate office in Saskatoon, you will provide technical support in the area process engineering and process controls for the northern Saskatchewan operations and other corporate groups.
In this role, you will:
-Utilize and maintain Camecos AVEVA PI data system, both developing applications and dashboards for sites, and system upkeep.
-Support and grow Camecos process controls optimization program, which measures and manages performance of industrial control loops at the northern Saskatchewan mining and milling sites, and enables advanced self-serve process data analytics.
-Support capital project development by performing data analysis, design calculations, and other process engineering deliverables.
-Support process sampling campaigns and on-site process optimization test work at the northern Saskatchewan mining and milling sites.
Required:
-You will be entering your third or fourth year as a university student specializing in chemical, process, metallurgical and/or computer engineering or a related field
-You must be returning to school for the academic semester following your work term with Cameco
-Occasional travel to site as projects require
Recommended:
-Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
-Experience in industrial plant environments
-Experience with AVEVA PI System or related data analytics and visualization tools
-Exposure to basic lab techniques and testing procedures

This is a 16-month full-time temporary student term, starting May 2026 until end of August 2027. Interviews will take place in December 2025 or January 2026. Students will be notified if they are selected for an interview.
