The Role
Cameco has an exciting opportunity for an experienced professional to join a highly skilled group in support of the corporations financial reporting. Working within a team of professionals, you will undertake various types of analytical and reporting activities and collaborate with stakeholders from various corporate departments.
In this role, you will:
-Participate in the monthly close, including the completion of monthly schedules and reconciliations.
-Execute financial analysis supporting both internal and external disclosures.
-Assist in the delivery of ad-hoc deliverables for stakeholders as they arise.
-Support on-going continuous improvement initiatives and projects as required, including proactively participating in the identification and development of efficient, value-added processes.
Required:
-Bachelors degree in commerce, accounting, finance or a related field;
-Five to eight years of relevant work experience;
-Canadian Professional Accounting designation (CPA);
-Strong technical, analytical, and problem-solving skills;
-Strong knowledge of consolidation and accounting principles (IFRS).
Recommended:
-Ability to prioritize assignments, manage deadlines and organize work independently;
-Experience using ERP software (SAP S/4HANA) and consolidation systems (Group Reporting);
