GENERAL ACCOUNTABILITY: Reporting to the Provincial Manager Analytics, the Epidemiologist is responsible for designing and conducting research projects and evaluations of Agency programs and services and to conduct surveillance activities of cancer for Saskatchewan. QUALIFICATIONS: Education:
- Masters degree in epidemiology, biostatistics, public health or related field.
- Applicants defending their thesis during the probationary period may be considered.
Experience:- None required.
Skills:- Comprehensive knowledge of statistical analysis, research and program evaluation methodologies and epidemiology.
- Competent in use of a variety of software.
- Initiative and independent judgment required to solve complex problems.
- Communication skills required to develop and present complex information including written documentation and verbal presentations.
- Human relations skills required to ensure compliance and promote acceptance through negotiating with staff and/or suppliers where there is a requirement to resolve the conflict or situation.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize workload.
