The Saskatchewan Liquor and Gaming Authority (SLGA) is seeking a self-motivated and detail-oriented individual to provide support as an Inspector within the Liquor Licensing and Inspections Branch.
This position is required to work on-site, reporting to the Field Manager, Liquor Inspections.
Inspectors attend permitted establishments and functions to promote and ensure compliance with provincial requirements and expectations respecting the sale, distribution, and consumption of beverage alcohol. This will be accomplished using a variety of strategies, including, as appropriate, education, inspections, and investigations. In reviewing operations, Inspectors may take statements from complainants and witnesses, as well as prepare reports to record compliance history to support the sanction process. Inspectors provide educational support to permittees, other enforcement agencies, and the general public. Inspectors are required to serve legal documents, testify in court or before the Liquor and Gaming Commission if necessary. In addition, the Inspectors perform regulatory duties related to Texas Holdem poker tournaments and Video Lottery Terminals.
