Description

The Lanigan & District Curling Club is looking for an Ice Technician for the 2025-2026 Curling Season. This position would commence December 2025 and conclude March 2026, with the possibility of rehire for subsequent curling seasons.

The L&DCC boasts 4 sheets of ice, a lobby area with a full kitchen and office, as well as a lounge/mezzanine upstairs with lockers, a great view of the ice, and a fully serviced bar. The club hosts 4-5 bonspiels per season, league curling two nights per week, youth league curling one afternoon per week, school curling two afternoons per week, as well as other events throughout the season.

Duties include but are not limited to:
- Ice maintenance throughout the season (pebbling and scraping)
- Prepping ice for league, bonspiels, and competitions
- Maintaining/servicing the ice and ice-related equipment
- Assisting in ice removal at the end of the season
- General building maintenance throughout the season
- Other duties as assigned

Preference will be given to those who have completed the Certified Ice Technicians Course, but training may be provided to the successful applicant if needed.
