Good Shepherd Villas is 63 room Personal Care Home. Personal Care Homes are privately owned and operated that offer adult
accommodation and meals, as well as 24-hour supervision and assistance with personal care.
We are currently seeking a highly motivated individual with a positive attitude to work as a Recreation Aide.
Specific Skills:

Providing person-centered care for residents.
Responsibilities:
Plan and carry out recreational activities, assemble supplies and game equipment.
Demonstrate and instruct recreational, artistic activities and techniques.
Assist and support groups and individuals in emotional, physical, intellectual, spiritual and social programs.
Lead groups and individuals in recreational or leisure programs; provide lifestyle awareness information; lead recreation activities and monitor to ensure safety; assist with coordination of special events; schedule activities; keep logs, maintain records, and prepare reports.
Assisting residents with feeding at mealtimes.
Provide companionship and encourage residents to participate in reminiscing discussions/activities. Support a person-centered care environment by supporting all residents' psycho-social needs.
Languages: English
Education: Grade 12
