The Financial Analyst has a strong background in bookkeeping to support financial planning, reporting, and analysis functions. This role requires a solid understanding of accounting principles and experience with day-to-day bookkeeping activities. The ideal candidate will provide insights into financial performance and ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial records.
Responsibilities:
-Prepare, analyze, and interpret monthly and annual financial reports.
-Conduct budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
-Monitor, analyze and maintain federal and provincial tax filings.
-Maintain accurate financial records through bookkeeping tasks, including journal entries, reconciliations, and general ledger updates.
-Assist with month-end and year-end close processes.
-Collaborate with cross-functional teams.
-Maintain accounting compliance.
-Other tasks as assigned.
Requirements:
-Bachelors degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field.
-3+ years of experience in financial analysis and bookkeeping.
-Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting.
-Knowledge of tax compliance procedures.
-Proficiency in accounting software (QuickBooks).
-Strong computer skills (primarily Excel and MS360).
-Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
-Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
